Lacy

Hey everyone, my first outfit post:) Sorry the quality is bad! I wear that collared shirt like EVERYday. It kind of was my papa's at first but then I stole it:) The lace thing was a hand-me-down and I've loved it to death. Well, it isn't dead yet, but if I continue wearing it as I do, it doesn't have much of life ahead of it. This is kind of my normal style, but I change it up A LOT. I really love collared things, and high neck things, and skirts. and I LOVE tights. Tell me what you think of my outfit:)

Cristina Ehrlich

first off, let me apologize for the delay of this post. i know i said i would tell you everything about my day working at Cristina Ehrlich's yesterday, but i was so pooped by the time i got home. sorry. but I'm telling you now! let me start with saying how completely amazing Cristina and Lauren and Seretta (sorry i really didn't have a clue how to spell her name) are and what fantastic style they have. ohmygod. my time from 9:30 to 4:00 was the best six and a half hours of my entire life. i mean, what girl wouldn't want to spend the day swimming in piles and piles of designer shoes and endlessly long gowns? let me start from when i got there. trust me, you'll want to hear from beginning to end.

i arrived with my mother at 9:30 and Cristina was having her morning workout, if there's a woman healthier than my whole-wheat-eating junk-food-bashing mother, it's Cristina. she's a former ballerina as well, just another reason to make me love her. i too am a lover of ballet, although i have no intentions of doing it professionally. anyways, once my mother left i was put straight to work by the lovely Lauren, Cristina's office manager who told me she swears her death will be of a falling heel piercing her head or suffocating under a pile of gowns.

she walked me through the room while i stared all around me at the racks an racks of shimmery clothing, tripping on a shoe or two. i was instructed to organize by color the mass of leather and satin daggers staring up at me. of course i was MORE than happy to oblige. so there's little miss new girl placing the last pair of patent leather peach platforms next to an almost exact replica when Lauren comes and tells me she wants to move the couch out of the room I'm organizing in. the couch was behind the shoes so therefore, i had to move half of my masterpiece elsewhere in order to make some more space. i didn't care anyways, i was too busy petting the black pony hair pumps at my feet. and i was there to help with whatever needed helping. we took SO many shoes off display because the designers kept sending messengers with bags and boxes and all sorts of contraptions filled with shoes and shoes and more shoes there wasn't enough room to place them all. trust me, if Lauren hadn't forced herself to put about half the shoes away, the entire floor would have been covered in shiny leather.

anyways, once we organized and reorganized and then reorganized again, the clothes started showing up. jackets and blouses and gowns of every shape and color. shiny and heavy or sheer and flowing, we had it ALL. and when i say ALL, i mean ALL. there were about 15 racks of clothes, a table piled high with jeans and shirts, a floor of shoes, and some more shelves filled with more shoes, and another shelf filled with clutches, oh, and did i mention this was all for ONE celebrity? i swear, the second Seretta and i thought we had finished unpacking the last of the boxes, the buzzer would ring and five more garment bags would arrive. and then five more. and then a few bags of shoes. and then maybe a box or two. or maybe we would find a hidden box of clothes and have to unpack it. at one point, ELEVEN garment bags from Gucci showed up, we had to take another entire rack out. but man, was everything gorgeous. the Chanel had to be my favorite though. i remember looking online at style.com when the collection came out and drooling over the baby pink and grey tweed and wishing i could stroke it. i did. i touched EVERYTHING. while everyone in the office acted as if it was totally normal to be sitting in a roomful of Valentino and Vivienne Westwood and Preen, i didn't hide my affection. every time i pulled something amazing out of a garment bag, which was every time i pulled anything out of a garment bag, i rattled on and on about how dazzling it was.

there was this one Gucci gown in particular with rinestone things on it that was insanely stunning, but it was giving another Gucci gown a hard time. the rhinestone covered gown was attaching itself to the chiffon gown and Lauren and i had to break it up. Much too inappropriate for the youngsters:)
so that was my day. it ended happily with two pairs of jeans that were given to me, a lot of hugs, praise from Cristina for my mother's granola, and a ticket back.
yes, you heard right. they want me back whenever i have time to help.
I'll just take a few seconds to flip out...... okay, wait..... okay done.
so i took a picture of all the fabulous shoes for you and here it is, drool as much as you like.

Vivienne Westwood and Agyness Deyn

Bonjour! Well before i start getting into this post I would like to declare some very important information. I, Savannah (or StyleCandy if you like), am spending the day at the Los Angeles office of the remarkably talented and extremely well-known stylist, Cristina Ehrlich. ahhhhhhhhhh! it's totally insane and exciting and i can't believe it's happening to me! Let me inform you of the incredible night this all happened.

I was over at my mother's very good friend's house spending the night. I was playing with her 7 and 8 year olds jumping on the trampoline and playing with the lovely madders (golden retriever named Maddy.) and I find out we are going to a passover seder dinner thingamabob. because apparently it's passover. anyways we get there and i say hi to all these people i haven't seen since i was young and stuff and all the kids are running wild and i'm eating the forbidden crackers (they had wheat in them i guess and the only kind of bread you can eat is matzo on passover. am i supposed to capitalize passover? Passover is capitalized from now on just in case!) and stuff since i forgot to eat lunch, silly me. then we (meaning us kids) had to all sit down at the dining table and read this thing about Passover. I really only heard random words like blood and saltwater because the children were all screaming over poor Andy who was trying to teach us all about the ten plagues.

Anyways, once the hebrew prayer was over, phew, we all got to eat. i was eyeing some delicious-looking potato latkes when Jennifer (mother's friend, and mine too.) calls me over to meet, yep, you guessed it, Cristina. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod. okay well i have to tell you the truth, i didn't actually know who she was until i got home and looked her up. ohmygod. so anyways, i walk over and she starts telling me i should come hang out at her office for a day since i'm into fashion and have a blog. thank you blog, i love you. so now that leads us to the end of my totally marveling Passover. unless you want to hear about the finding of the matzo. she won five bucks, that matzo finding 7 year-old. or i suppose you might like to hear how i was congratulated by the table that i was sitting with the adults. or maybe how i'm not even Jewish.

So my advice to you is to go ask your Jewish friends to take you to their Passover seders. it could lead to meeting celebrity stylists, it really could. i have proof. i'll tell you all about my adventure to wonderland tomorrow, promise! Until then, lets get this post started.

So i remembered how much i love Agyness Deyn the other day. i mean she's British, she has insanely cool style, and that HAIR, that's some wicked hair. oh, and the name. her name used to be laura hollins, but apparently she thought Agyness Deyn was much more suited, we agree. i then remembered that she was on ALL SIX COVERS of i-D magazine in May of 2008. Crazy cool:
i love the paint one!

i never actually got the magazine but i've seen loads of the pictures online. super snazzy. there was this whole thing with her and Vivienne Westwood that i thought was completely awesome too. i never actually got to read the interview or whatever but i have pictures! and video! this is the coolest picture ever! there's Aggy on the right and under her is Vivienne:

Model Street Style: Frida Gustavsson

Hello again. I thought I'd dedicate a post to the extraordinary fashion model, Frida Gustavsson. She has, hands down, the BEST style ever. My style is very much Frida inspired. Though I'm certainly not as cool as her, if only. I was watching an interview with her and she mentioned she was a fashion student. She's already studying fashion and she's still in high school! I love the tights-with-shorts thing, and those groovy hats. She's just so chic. She makes cool style look effortless. And she's only seventeen. To add to her already incredible coolness, she's a high-fashion model walking for the biggest designers out there. Frida's got it going on.

Hello

My name is Savannah. I'm new to blogging and all but I'm very delighted to start. I have a severe fetish for fashion and style. I relish anything sparkly or soft or pretty as well. I love fashion photographs, i think  it has something to do with my mother being a photographer, but i can't get enough of them. I really adore Grace Coddington's styling in Vogue US, it's so wonderful and whimsical and just utterly beautiful. Here's a photo of Lily Cole, Andrew Garfield, and Lady GaGa from the December 2009 issue of Vogue US.
