Hello hello! I have been sick for a week now and today i've gotten well! Hurraw! Hurraw! Today I decided to venture out of my cozy sweaters and pajama pants and slip into something pretty. I'm wearing a white gap turtleneck and a thrifted pink houndstooth dress along with pinkish tights from Wolford and borrowed penny loafers Weejuns from Bass.
Excuse my face.
I don't know why but my room is the coldest room in the entire house. I basically live in an igloo. I've been trying to thaw out with candy cane tea and my best friend the space heater, but nothing seems to work because my nose is still icy. I've also been reading Hamlet all day. WOW. No one told me it would be so damn confusing! I have to answer all these questions for it and i'm just completely lost except for the parts that Hamlet speaks. His dialogue is pretty easy to understand.
Another thing, Sofia Coppola's new Marni for H&M ad campaign video!
Wow, that was cool wasn't it? You totally want to be this girl, don't you? She always has a way of making you want to be the person in her ads. Okay so, i should be getting back to my Hamlet reading. Thou ye nay fie! blub blub blub...
And guess what? He totally does! I'm literally obsessed with the Miss Dior Cherie perfume. It smells like everything perfect and lovely. There is seriously no other way to explain it. It smells like lovely would smell if it was a scent and could be trapped in a bottle, I swear. If only an ounce didn't cost sixty dollars... I would take a bath in it.
The ad for this is adorable. It is so adorable that I drew a picture of it. And I just tried to find it to post it but the picture has magically disappeared. I'll find it and post it another time. The best part about this entire perfume is the commercial by SOFIA COPPOLA. OH MY GOD. It's like the best thing ever. It basically consists of cakes and Dior dresses and Paris. Can I please have this girl's life?
But I have to specify, the perfume they are advertising in this is not the one I'm describing above and my friend recently informed it's not perfume at all! It's l'eau which is a more water version I guess? Quite unsure but this one they are advertising here is HORRIBLE DO NOT BUY. The perfume is delicious though, that you can buy.
And let me make mention of those offbeat little cat-eye glasses that are featured in this ad. Can I please have them? They are so perfectly retro/modern. hahaha. Anyways I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did and anyone who has the same OH MY GOD feelings toward Sofia Coppola please let's exchange a conversation of Sofia Coppola obsession!

HELLO THERE
Sorry it's been so long. Not that anyone really reads this... Anyway, a few weeks ago I got the opportunity to do something VERY exciting. That very exciting thing was assisting a stylist on a photo shoot. YAY! So my mom's good friend, Russell Baer, is a photographer like my mother. He's super amazing and shoots a ton of celebrities like Leighton Meester and Rachel Bilson and loads of editorial fashion stuff as well. Here's his website: http://russellbaer.com/. He's so cool he asked me to come help him on a test shoot.
The shoot was in Hollywood where it was steaming hot and the models were in jackets and pants and all sorts of heavy things. I steamed up a storm and tucked away tags like nobody's business. Despite the heat, it was amazingly fun and Russell got some incredible photos out of it. The whole team was really great too! The models, the hair and makeup girl, the stylist, the location manager - I'm so happy I had the chance to meet all of these great people. I hope you enjoy them!
So, I'm doing a series of posts on summer since it's so close to being over. Summer deserves at least a few, don't you think? Anyways, here is an assemblage of pictures displaying perfect summer vibes. Days in the sun picking flowers and sipping iced tea. Bathing suits and sand in your toes. Feeling happy. Licking ice cream cones and having them drip all down your arm. Frolicking in sweet summer dresses. That's all I beg for when I'm holed up in my room learning about cave men.
Images from various tumblrs.
Have a nice last few drops of your summer vacations and be sure to frolic as much as you can!
Today is a sad day. I have started school up again this week and today I began Biology. It was pretty boring except for a few bits and pieces that I actually understood... very few. Anyways, I thought I'd post the coolest schoolgirls I know from movies in honor of summer's end.
